NLIU has clearly set the benchmark for mooting performance. Our students have represented the University in almost all prestigious National and International Competitions, including the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Aribitration Moot Court organised at Vienna and Hong Kong, the Stetson International Environmental Law Moot Court and the Phillip C. Jessup International Moot Court held at Washington D.C., Commonwealth International Law Moot Court at Australia. Our teams have won over fifty awards till date. It is especially commendable that almost all Awards for the Best Memorial offered in various competitions in the country have been swept by our teams in this year and the last.
- T. Priyadarshini was adjudged as Best Student Advocate in the Stetson International Law Moot Court Competition the other team members were Neha Das, Shweta Dwivedi and Alok Shankar. They qualified to participate in the International round held at Florida U.S. in November 2006.
- Saman Ahsan was adjudged as Best Speaker in the Henry Dunant ISIL International Moot Court Competition.
- T. Priyadarshini, Mishita Jethi and Abhishek Mukherji represented the university in the KLA Moot court competition. The Team bagged the Runners Up Trophy. T. Priyadarshini was adjudged the Best Speaker and Mishita Jeti the Second Best Speaker in the Competition.
- Shivendra Singh, Akshay Sapre and Utsav Johri were the Runners Up team in the Surana and Surana Minority Moot Court Competition. The team also bagged the Best Memorial and the Spirit of Surana award.
- Asmita Singh, Shruti Gurudanti and Navin Kumar were adjudged as winners of the 10th Annual M.M. Singhvi Memmorial Bar Council of India International Law Moot Court Competition.
- Mayank Pandey was adjudged as the Best Speaker in the S.D.M. Manglore Moot Court Competition in October 2006.
Madhvi Nalluri and Jyoti Kiran bagged the second prize in Commercial Drafting Competition in the Bharti Vidya Peeth Law Fest held at Pune, in January 2007.
